PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a light-emitting device capable of outputting light with a desired wavelength by a single chip, while preventing deterioration in a product service life.SOLUTION : The light-emitting device includes a semiconductor substrate 10, a resonator 2 provided on the substrate 10 for generating light with a first wavelength and having a primary waveguide with which the first wavelength resonates, and an output device 3, provided on the semiconductor substrate 10 at a distance d from the primary waveguide where transition of optical power of the light with the first wavelength occurs and having a secondary waveguide containing rare-earth elements doped.COPYRIGHT : (C)2009, JPO&INPIT
