PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a hydride complex which has low rare element content, is lightweight and from/in which a large quantity of hydrogen can be released/absorbed at relatively low temperature and to provide a hydrogen storage material. SOLUTION : The hydride complex comprises Mg(BH4)2 and Mg(NH2)2. The hydrogen storage material is obtained by releasing the whole or a part of the hydrogen contained in the hydride complex.
