PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To solve such problems that a conventional dimming glass enabling light permeability adjustable is extremely expensive because any of them uses liquid crystal as a dimming means, and the liquid crystal has to be installed at the whole face of a glass plate.SOLUTION : A light-emitting glass device which forms a transparent plate glass wherein a phosphor particulate such as a rare earth oxide is dispersed in a glass base material, and in which a light-emitting source for excitation such as an ultraviolet ray light emitting diode is installed at the end edge is proposed. In this light-emitting glass device, a substantial light shielding effect can be obtained by making the phosphor emit light, a new aesthetic factor is generated by color forming of the whole plate glass, and a new added value can be created. In the case a photochromic agent and a light diffusion agent are dispersed in the transparent plate glass 1 in addition to the phosphor, in addition to the effect by the light forming of light emission of the phosphor, since a photochromic effect by the photochromic agent and a light diffusion effect by the light diffusion agent are added synergistically, the dimming effect is improved, and a visual line can be blocked superbly.COPYRIGHT : (C)2009, JPO&INPIT
