PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a technique for obtaining a magnetic garnet material having low degree of deterioration in optical absorption characteristics even if manufactured by an LPE method. SOLUTION : A crucible 10 used for the LPE method is constituted of Au. The quantity of Au taken in a single crystal formed by using the crucible 10 made of Au is low compared with the quantity of Pt taken in the single crystal formed by using the crucible 10 made of Pt.
