PURPOSE : A varistor integrated with a register is provided to show high-density mounting as well as excellent varistor properties and to reduce the non-uniformity of resistance.CONSTITUTION : A varistor(1) comprises a pair of outer electrodes(30a, 30b) formed on one surface of the varistor and a register(60). The register is connected to the pair of outer electrodes. The varistor contains zinc oxide as a main composition and calcium oxide, silicon oxide and rare earth metal oxide as minor compositions. The varistor contains 2-80atom%% of calcium oxide(X) converted to calcium atom and 1-40atom%% of silicon oxide(Y) converted to silicon atom on a basis of 100mol of the main composition.
