The rotary harrow has horizontal rotating disks (DT), to which are attached tool mountings (WA). These carry earth working blades (WE) with a sloping working edge (AK1) which forms at least 80 % of the portion of the tool outside the mounting. The device can be moved from a position in which the working edge is inclined forwards and is at an angle of 15 - 30, especially 20 -15 degrees , to the vertical and a second position in which it is inclined backwards and is at an angle of 30 -60, especially 40 -60 degrees to the vertical.
