PURPOSE : A hydroponic flower pot comprising a moisturizing layer containing nutrient solutions and a support layer for planting plants grown in common soil with a lump of earth in which plants are rooted as it was into a support layer is provided to reduce a stabilization period and manpower necessary for hydroponic cultivation and to prevent over-watering of roots. CONSTITUTION : A hydroponic flower pot comprises : an inner container(10) containing a moisturizing layer(11) with good water absorption property and a support layer(12) contacting the moisturizing layer for planting a root base material(50) of general plants which are not used in hydroponic cultivation and supplying water; and an outer container(20) enclosing the inner container and being permitted to fill with water to keep only the absorption container submerged under water and to prevent over-watering. An absorption container(30) is extendedly connected to the moisturizing layer and plays the role of a water supply passage. The moisturizing layer has hydro balls which are split to absorb water in a saturated state by exposing a porous portion. The support layer has hydro balls to absorb part of water. A plurality of legs(13) is formed at the lower part of the inner container. The water level of the moisturizing layer is measured by a water level gauge(40). © KIPO 2008
