PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a blue colored water-based ink with high color saturation, rare discoloration, excellent in water resistance and giving pictures without bronzing, and to provide an inkjet recording method, an ink tank, a recording unit and an inkjet recording device. SOLUTION : The water-based ink comprises an aqueous medium and a phthalocyanine dye expressed by formula (I) (In the formula CuPc is a phthalocyanine residue, (x) is 1, 2, 3 or 4 and (y) is 0, 1, 2 or 3.), wherein the phthalocyanine dye does not contain component of x+y=2 and at least contains the components expressed by x+y=3 and x+y=4 and the content of the component of x+y=4 is higher than that of the component x+y=3, and the aqueous medium contains an amine compound with vapor pressure of ≥0.01 mmHg (20 to 25°C), and this invention includes the ink-jet recording method, the ink tank, the recording unit and the inkjet recording device.
