PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a sheet material of a malleable cobalt superalloy having a practical thickness, the through thickness of which is strengthened by nitridation using a treatment of practical duration. SOLUTION : The malleable cobalt alloy having a practical sheet thickness, of which through thickness is strengthened by nitridation using a practical treatment, contains, by wt.%, about 23-30% chromium, about 15-25% iron, nickel up to 27.3%, about 0.75-1.7% titanium, about 0.85-1.9% niobium or zirconium, carbon up to 0.2%, boron up to 0.015%, rare earth elements up to 0.015%, aluminum up to 0.5%, manganese up to 1%, silicon up to 1%, tungsten up to 1%, molybdenum up to 1%, and the balance being cobalt and impurities.
