PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To stably manufacture a sintered rare earth magnet alloy having excellent magnetic properties. SOLUTION : In the method for manufacturing the sintered rare earth magnet alloy by refining a molten crude alloy, casting the molten alloy into an alloy ingot, subjecting the alloy ingot to crushing and further to pulverization, compacting the resultant powder and then sintering the resultant green compact, the above pulverization is carried out two or more times. At least one of the above two or more pulverizing treatments is performed by the use of a vibrating ball mill. COPYRIGHT : (C)2003, JPO
