PURPOSE : Hair treatment compositions are provided to improve hair health including hair loss prevention, hair growth promotion, and dandruff removal and prevention by reducing TGF-β(transforming growth factor-beta) expression and promoting VEGF(vascular endothelial growth factor) expression, and promote activity and expression of tyrosinase and production of melanin without side effects. CONSTITUTION : A hair treatment composition comprises at least one rare-earth element selected from lanthane(La), neodymium(Nd), samarium(Sm), gadolinium(Gd) and lutetium(Lu), or its salt or oxide, and capsicum tincture in a weight ratio of 1 : 0.0001-1, further comprises pharmaceutically or cosmetically acceptable carriers or additives, and is formulated as lotion, ointment, gel, cream, patch, spray, tablet, pill, powder, sachet, elixir, suspension, emulsion, solution, syrup or soft or hard capsule. © KIPO 2008
