PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing a high purity alkali metal hydroxide in which an alkaline earth metal contained in an alkali hydroxide is removed for purification in the state where the alkali hydroxide is in high concentration. SOLUTION : It was studied to remove an alkaline earth metal in an alkali hydroxide circulated in the market in the state where the alkali hydroxide is in a high concentration range. As a result, it was found that the alkaline earth metal in the alkali hydroxide can be removed with a chelate resin having an aminophosphate group. COPYRIGHT : (C)2008, JPO&INPIT
