PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a medical-purpose laser apparatus with excellent operability. SOLUTION : This medical-purpose laser apparatus comprises at least a laser body 40 with an optical fiber laser for outputting an invisible pulse laser beam and a guide light source for continuously oscillating the guide light consisting of visible light superposed on the invisible pulse laser beam, a control device 30 for controlling the laser body 40, and a switch device 60 with a repetition cycle setting switch 61 and an energy setting switch 62. The laser body 40 and the switch device 60 are disposed with the control device 30 in-between, and the oscillation strength of the guide light and the oscillation interval are interlocked with the intensity of the invisible pulse laser beam. The guide light source is a semiconductor laser device (LD) or a light emitting diode (LED). The optical fiber laser has a rare earth element fiber from fluoride glass to which at least one selected from erbium, holmium and praseodymium is added. COPYRIGHT : (C)2005, JPO&NCIPI
