PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a golf ball 2 excellent in a flying performance.SOLUTION : The golf ball 2 has a core, a cover and many dimples 8. The core includes polybutadiene synthesized by using a rare earth element catalyst. The rubber composition of the core includes a polysulfide compound containing a bromo group. The main component of the cover is an ionomer resin. The cover has the thickness of <1.3 mm and the hardness of ≥59. The compression deformation amount of the golf ball 2 is less than 2.4 mm. When the average diameter of all the dimples 8 is defined as Da, the ratio (N1/N) of the number N1 of adjacent dimple pairs whose pitch is ≤(Da/4) to the total number N of the dimples is ≥2.70.
