METHOD FOR PRODUCING RARE EARTH-IRON-NITROGEN-BASED MAGNET POWDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide rare earth-iron-nitrogen-based magnet powder in which a nonmagnetic phase is reduced and α-Fe to form into the nuclei of magnetization reversal can be reduced, and also, having excellent magnetic properties. SOLUTION : Rare earth oxide powder, iron powder and a reducing agent are mixed, and the mixture is subjected to a reduction diffusion process, so as to obtain a reaction product. The reaction product is subjected to hydrogen treatment, is subjected to nitriding treatment, is subsequently collapsed in water, and is water-washed. The obtained slurry is thereafter subjected to pickling treatment with an acid aqueous solution using strong acid in such a manner that the pH of the slurry upon the start of the treatment is controlled to 0.01 to <3. The obtained magnet coarse powder is subjected to water washing and drying, and is pulverized. COPYRIGHT : (C)2008, JPO&INPIT
