SUBSTANCE : invention relates to inorganic pigments, having coloration from orange to lemon yellow color, based on complex molybdates of rare-earth and alkali metals, in particular cerium, sodium, and calcium, which can be used in varnish-and-paint industry, in production of plastics, ceramics, and building materials. Inorganic pigment represents complex molybdate having following analysis : Na0.3CayCe1.23-2/3y(MoO4)2, where 0.1 ≤ y ≤ 1.7 (1), or Na0.7CazCe1.1-2/3y(MoO4)2, where 0.1 ≤ z ≤ 1.3 (2).
