PURPOSE : An apparatus for automatically removing powder on the surface of a roll is provided to effectively crush and remove powder generated in a plating line when manufacturing a cold rolled strip for automobile or home appliances that is adhered onto an earth roll of a welding machine. CONSTITUTION : The apparatus for automatically removing powder on the surface of the roll comprises a frame(10) that is radially and movably arranged on an earth roll; a driving part(40) comprising first driving means(20) which is mounted on the frame(10) so that the first driving means(20) is driven by rotary power of the earth roll, and second driving means(30) which is rotationally installed on the frame(10) by being belt connected to the first driving means(20); a powder crushing part(50) comprising crushing elements(52) which are installed at one side of the frame(10) so that the crushing elements(52) are vertically moved by the second driving means(30), and which crush powder stuck to the surface of the roll; a powder removal part(70) comprising first cleaning means(72) which is installed at the other side of the frame(10) so that the first cleaning means(72) is rotated by the first driving means(20), and which removes crushed powder; and a powder collecting part(80) comprising second cleaning means(84) which is mounted on the lower part of a base(82) that is vertically moved to one side of the first cleaning means(72), and the lower part of which is closely adhered onto the surface of the roll to secondly remove powder, and a dust collecting duct(86) which is installed at both sides of the base(82) to collect the removed powder using air.
