FIELD : chemistry.SUBSTANCE : invention pertains to the technology of rare and radioactive elements; solves the problem of decomposing monazite. The method of decomposing monazite involves its treatment in molten salts at temperature ranging from 400°C to 900°C and phosphorous removal.
