PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an exchange spring magnet which has fine crystal grain sizes and superior characteristics concerning both the flux density and the coercive force. SOLUTION : This method for manufacturing the objective exchange spring magnet comprises preparing an alloy, of which at least one part becomes amorphous by a liquid quenching method or a mechanical alloying method, from an alloy for magnets containing Ta and C beside Nd, Fe and B, and heat- treating the alloy, of which at least one part is amorphous.
