PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To appropriately control the stent graft setting operation in the process of the initial deployment of a stent graft and the re-deployment of the stent graft (after completion of deployment of a part of the stent graft).
SOLUTION : A proximal anchor stent ring 208 of an intravascular prosthesis includes a proximal apex, a distal apex, a strut extending between the proximal and distal apexes, and anchoring pins. The strut, the proximal apex and the distal apex define an imaginary cylindrical surface. A pair of the anchoring pins is disposed on the strut adjacently to each proximal apex. The anchoring pins extend inward from the inner surface of the strut and protrude outward radially from the cylindrical surface with the strut as the starting point. By locating the anchoring pins inward, the delivery profile of the proximal anchor stent ring can be minimized.
