PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnetization coil performing multipolar magnetization of a magnet requiring a large magnetization field, e.g., a rare earth magnet, with a desired magnetization pattern and a sufficient strength while ensuring high reliability for insulation of the wire, and to provide its manufacturing process. SOLUTION : The magnetization coil comprises an inner yoke 1 of soft magnetic material having a wiring groove 4 formed in the outer circumference in correspondence with a magnetization pattern, a wire 5 laid in the wiring groove 4 along the wiring groove 4, and an inner yoke 7 of soft magnetic material covering the outside of the inner yoke 1. After laying at least the wire 5 in the wiring groove 4, a hole 9 for inserting a permanent magnet becoming the magnetization object is made in the center of the inner yoke 7 and surface treatment for protecting the wire is performed on the bottom face of the wiring groove 4.
