PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnetic garnet maintaining a magnetic hysteresis of a square Faraday rotation angle in the temperature range in which a Faraday rotator is used. SOLUTION : The magnetic hysteresis of the Faraday rotation angle is maintained in a square shape in the temperature range in which the Faraday rotator is used by regulating the variation of a Pt concentration to be ≤200%.
