PURPOSE : Magnesium oxide baked material powders are provided to emit ultraviolet light having peak wavelength in wavelength 250nm with high efficiency and to be useful as material of ultraviolet light emission layer formed on dielectric protection layer of gas discharge light-emitting device.CONSTITUTION : Magnesium oxide baked material powders are made of magnesium oxide basis powder and fluoride powder of at least one or more selected from group consisting of aluminium, zinc, tin, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal except magnesium and rare earth metal. The fluoride is obtained by plasticizing pulverulent compound of 0.05 ~ 30 mole based on the magnesium 100 mole in magnesium oxide basis powder at 850 ~ 1500°C.© KIPO 2009
