FIELD : physics; optics.
SUBSTANCE : invention relates to optronics. Modulating device comprises a working optical component, which consists of a substrate with n layers (n≥2) of magnetically permeable manganite A1-xBxMnO3, in which trivalent rare-earth metal A is partially substituted with univalent or bivalent metal B, degree of substitution being x. Material of each layer has specific Curie point; difference between maximum and minimum values thereof corresponds to operating temperature range of modulating device. Between two adjacent layers there is a transient nanolayer with Curie point intermediate between those of the layers and magnetic permeability close to those of the layers. Composition and thickness of transient nanolayer is determined by epitaxy process.
EFFECT : enhanced operating temperature range of modulating device without a temperature stabilisation device and a power source for temperature stabilisation device.
