PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing a rare-earth magnet capable of improving HcJ, while appropriately maintaining Br.
SOLUTION : The preferred method for manufacturing a rare-earth magnet comprises a molding step of molding the raw material powder consisting of a plurality of raw material compounds to form a green compact and a sintering step of sintering the green compact. A first raw material compound is at least one kind of compound selected from among R1-T-B compound and R1R2-T-B compound (R1 represents a light rare earth element containing Y, R2 represents a heavy rare-earth element, and T represents a metal element, other than rare-earth elements and contains at least Fe), a second raw material compound is at least one kind of compound selected from among R1-T compound, R1R2-T compound and R2-T compound, and a third raw material compound that contains R2 and having melting points higher than those of the first and the second raw material compounds, are used as raw material compounds.
