PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a light wave radar device lengthening a wind speed measuring distance by reducing ASE (amplified spontaneous emission) and increasing transmission power.
SOLUTION : The light wave radar device is provided with : an optical demultiplexer 2 demultiplexing light into signal light and local oscillation light; an AOM (acoustooptical modulator) 5a pulsing laser beams by a driving signal generated by a pulse modulation signal generator 3; a first optical fiber amplifier (semiconductor lasers 6a, 6b and a rare earth element addition optical fiber 8a) amplifying the output of the AOM 5a; an AOM 5b synchronized with the AOM 5a to pulse again the output of the first optical fiber amplifier by a delayed driving signal; a second optical fiber amplifier (semiconductor lasers 6c, 6d and a rare earth element addition optical fiber 8b) amplifying the output of the AOM 5b; a telescope 10 emitting transmission light as laser pulse light into space and receiving scattered light; an optical mixer 11 mixing the local oscillation light with the scattered light to perform conversion into a beat signal; a light receiver 12 converting the beat signal into an electric signal; and a signal processor 13 carrying out fast Fourier transformation of the electric signal to determine a wind speed.
