The invention relates to a method of improving coercivity of NdFeB magnets, and it is characterised by sprinkling powders of Dy , Tb or an alloy of DyTb on the surface of the NdFeB magnet in an argon atmosphere, and making the powders to become a film by the technology of rapid heating, then placing the magnet into a vacuum furnace for diffusion treatment and aging treatment, as to make the heavy rare earth elements to diffuse into the magnet along grain boundary, and improving the coercivity without reducing the remanence. The advantages of this method is high utilization rate of heavy rare earth powders, high speed of forming film, and high increasing range of coercivity.
