PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for imparting magnetic anisotropy to an alloy consisting of rare earth elements-iron based elements. SOLUTION : The alloy having magnetic anisotropy is produced by directionally solidifying the melt of an alloy consisting of rare earth elements-iron based elements at a cooling rate ≤700°C/s in a microgravity environment.
