PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a BOG compression installation adaptable to a gas turbine requiring high pressure (60bar, e, g, ) for suppressing an increase of required installation cost and power consumption, and also to provide its operation method.
SOLUTION : The BOG compression installation comprises : a BOG high pressure compressor 10 for compressing BOG 1 generated in a storage tank storing low temperature liquefied gas down to predetermined high pressure in multiple stages; a re-liquefying device 12 for re-liquefying the BOG 1 with the cold of LNG delivered from the storage tank; and a BOG bleeding line 14 for bleeding low pressure BOG from the medium stage of the BOG high pressure compressor and supplying it to the re-liquefying device. The small amount of BOG 1 within the re-liquefying capability of the re-liquefying device 12 is supplied via the BOG bleeding line 14 to the re-liquefying device 12 to re-liquefy the BOG. The amount of BOG 1 over the re-liquefying capability of the re-liquefying device is compressed down to predetermined high pressure by the BOG high pressure compressor 10 and supplied to a consuming installation (a gas turbine, e.g.).
