PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To smoothly expand a folded corrugated fiberboard case into a tube, and to prevent subsequent damage to a base flap folding device and further to a base pasting device or the like, and other various kinds of troubles. SOLUTION : The method of expanding a folding corrugated fiberboard case C into a tube includes steps of intermittently carrying folding corrugated fiberboard cases C by conveyers provided in parallel with intervals, causing a first suction disk 19 to suck a lower surface rear piece C1, causing a second suction disk 23 to suck an upper surface rare surface C2, and rising and rotating the second suction disk 23 from a horizontal position to a vertical position to expand the case C into a tube. The second suction disk 23 is raised and rotated from the horizontal position to the vertical position slowly at a moment when the rising and rotating start and then quickly.
