PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a plasma display apparatus with improved panel luminous efficiency. SOLUTION : A phosphor Zn2SiO4 : Mn and rear earth terbium (Tb) of which green color is deeper than that of a direct view cathode ray tube color television and oxide phosphor activated as a light emission center are put in the same phosphor layer to realize a green phosphor layer of higher brightness. For example, Y3(AlxGa1-xO12 : Tb (Tb activated YAG phosphor)) and Y2SiO5 : Tb (Tb activated yttrium silicate phosphor) can be used as oxide phosphors activated by rare earth element terbium (Tb) as a light emitting center.
