PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high-reliability surface magnet-type rotor with which bonding strength of a sintered magnet strip and a rotor yoke can be stably secured. SOLUTION : The surface magnet-type rotor includes a rotor yoke 11 where a rotor core 11a is laminated and the sintered magnet strip 12 of a rare earth iron system, whose surface is rust-prevented by paint 13; a recess 13a by masking paint is formed on a bonding face of the sintered magnet strip 12 with the rotor yoke 11; and adhesive 14 is applied to the recess 13a, and is bonded and fixed to the outer surface of the rotor yoke 11.
