PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of a current collector for a lead storage battery which can control an early capacity deterioration. SOLUTION : Lead powder or lead alloy powder is used as lead containing powder which is a raw material of a cathode current collector of a lead battery, and calcium oxide is used as alkaline-earth group metal oxide powder. The lead alloy powder is for example a lead-tin-calcium (Pb-Sn-Ca) alloy. In place of calcium oxide, alkaline metal oxide powder and other alkaline-earth group metal powder can be used. The lead containing powder and the calcium oxide powder are mixed and a sheet is manufactured by a powder rolling. The sheet is cut out to make a current collector. COPYRIGHT : (C)2008, JPO&INPIT
