PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a separator for a fuel cell easy to work, without breaking or warping, high mechanical strength, high electric conductivity, high corrosion resistance, light weight, at a low cost, and to provide a method for manufacturing the separator for the fuel cell, and the fuel cell. SOLUTION : A magnesium alloy containing 2.5-3.5 wt.% aluminum, 0.5-1.5 wt.% zinc, 0.15 wt.% or more manganese, 0.01 wt.% or less iron, 0.10 wt.% or less silicon, 0.10 wt.% or less copper, 0.005 wt.% or less nickel, 0.04 wt.% or less calcium, 0.1-0.3 wt.% rare earth metal, and the balance being magnesium is hot extruded at a extrusion ratio of 7% at a temperature of 553K. The hot- extruded magnesium alloy is aged at a temperature of 573K for 10 hours, and a passage groove 90a and fixing holes 90b are formed in one body by superplastic forging. COPYRIGHT : (C)2004, JPO
