PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an Al alloy reflective coating for optical information recording which has low thermal conductivity, low melting temperature and high corrosion resistance, and which is adaptive to laser marking, to provide an optical information recording medium provided with the reflective coating, and to provide a sputtering target for depositing the reflective coating.
SOLUTION : (1) The Al alloy reflective coating for optical information recording contains Al as a principal component and contains 1.0 to 10.0 at.% at least one rare earth element and 0.5 to 5.0 at.% at least one element of Cr, Ta, Ti, Mo, V, W, Zr, Hf, Nb, and Ni. (2) Alternatively, the Al alloy reflective coating described in the (1) further contains 1.0 to 5.0 at.% at least one of Fe and Co or contains 1.0 to 10.0 at.% at least one of In, Zn, Ge, Cu, and Li. (3) The optical information recording medium has the Al alloy reflective coating. (4) The sputtering target is composed of an Al alloy having a composition similar to that of the Al alloy reflective coating.
