PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To produce a high refractive index low dispersion optical glass in which the change of imaging properties caused by a temperature change in a use environment is reduced, concretely, the absolute value of the multiplication α×β between the average linear expansion coefficient α at -30 to +70°C and a photoelastic constant β in the wavelength of 546.1 nm achieves 130×10-12°C×nm×cm-1×Pa-1 or below without largely using components having a high environmental load and rare mineral resources.
SOLUTION : The first constitution of this invention is an optical glass in which the absolute value of the multiplication α×β between the average linear expansion coefficient α at -30 to +70°C and the photoelastic constant β in the wavelength of 546.1 nm is 130×10-12°C-1×nm×cm-1×Pa-1 or below, and which comprises, by mass% on the basis of oxide, SiO2, B2O3 and La2O3 in >0%, comprises ZrO2+Nb2O5 in >13 to <20%, and comprises ZnO in <2.0%.
