PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a thermal spraying member which reduces radiation unevenness at an elevated temperature and warps less and a rare earth oxide thermal spraying member which is little in the partial change of colors, and rare earth oxide powder for thermal spraying for obtaining the thermal-sprayed film. SOLUTION : The rare earth oxide thermal spraying member is constituted by forming the thermal-sprayed film of the rare earth oxide exhibiting a gray or black color of ≤50 in L*, -3.0 to +3.0 in a*and -3.0 to +3.0 in b*in L*a*b*chromaticity designation on a substrate surface. Since the rare eaarth oxide thermal spraying member which represent gray or black can be deposited in atmosspheric pressure plasma metal spray, redction cost serves as enable .
