PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a wear resistant steel sheet particularly having excellent bending workability regarding a wear resistant steel sheet suitably usable as the members having a problem on wear caused by contact with earth and sand among industrial machinery, carriers or the like such as power shovels, bulldozers, hoppers and buckets used in the fields of construction, engineering works, mines or the like. SOLUTION : The steel sheet has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.05 to 0.30% C and 0.1 to 1.0% V, and in which the content of solid solution C is ≤0.03%. Further, the steel sheet has a structure where the matrix is composed of a ferritic phase, and a hard phase is dispersed into the matrix. The steel sheet may further comprise one or two kinds selected from Nb and Ti, one or more kinds selected from Mo, W, Si, Mn and Cu, one or two kinds selected from Ni and B, and Cr. In this way, particularly, both wear resistance to wear caused by earth and sand and bending workability thereof can be remarkably improved without being accompanied by excessive increase in hardness.
