PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To solve such a problem that an oxide superconductor manufactured by the conventional method is cracked and its magnetic field characteristics are deteriorated.
SOLUTION : The oxide superconductor is formed by interposing many plate-shaped precursor-melted bulks, which are arrayed apart from one another and each of which has the area equal to or smaller than about 300 mm2, between a precursor of the oxide superconductor of an RE-Ba-Cu-O system (wherein RE is a rare earth element) and a ceramics substrate as an intermediate layer and half-melting/solidifying the precursor.
