The harrow to break up the soil, after burning off stubble and the like, has breaking plates (4) with spoke components (7) on one or both sides. The horizontal gap between the spoke components and the plates is equal to the largest earth or burned stubble lumps (6) which can pass through. The sides of the plates towards the spoke components have profiles, edges or cutters.
