PURPOSE : A dielectric ceramic composition, a manufacturing method thereof and an electronic component using the same are provided to exhibit high relative dielectric constant and good temperature characteristics of the capacitance and improve reliability even when a dielectric layer is made as a thin layer. CONSTITUTION : A dielectric ceramic composition comprises a main component containing barium titanate, a fourth sub-component containing an oxide of R1 (wherein, R1 is at least one selected from rare earth elements with an effective ionic radius for coordination number 9 of less than 108pm) and a fifth sub-component containing an oxide of R2 (wherein R2 is at least one selected from rare earth elements with an effective ionic radius for coordination number 9 of 108-113pm). The dielectric ceramic composition is prepared by a method comprising the steps of : reacting a main component material with a part of a fourth sub-component material and/or a part of a fifth sub-component material in advance to obtain a reaction-finish material, and adding remaining materials of the fourth sub-component and the fifth sub-component to the reaction-finish material, wherein a ratio(M1/M2) that is the mole number(M1) of R1 to the mole number(M2) of R2 in the finally obtained dielectric ceramic composition is 4
