PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a laser oscillator that laser-oscillates by a low energy beam using a thin film containing rare-earth complex. SOLUTION : The laser oscillator has a substrate and a line pattern, which is placed on the substrate, and in which a +trivalent asymmetric type rare-earth ion complex is introduced into at least either of a transparent resin, a transparent inorganic material, and a transparent organic-inorganic hybrid material. An amplified spontaneous light is emitted from an excitation light irradiating the line pattern, whose intensity is 0.05 mJ or over. The amplified spontaneous light is amplified in the line pattern, and emitted from the end surface of the line pattern. COPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT
