PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To develop a rust preventive material composed of ion exchangeable inorganic particles which has higher rust preventability, and in which the stability and maintainability of the rust prevention effect are highly excellent. SOLUTION : The rust preventive material is composed of metal ion-carried inorganic particles in which the inorganic particles of silica or the like are coated with a polymer having a cation exchange group(s), suitably with a crosslinked polymer. Also, at least a part of counter ions in the cation exchange group(s) is composed of metal ions, suitably, alkaline-earth metal ions such as a calcium ion. COPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT
