PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a piezoelectric porcelain composition having high vibration amplitude in a high frequency region, and to provide a piezoelectric resonator obtained by using the same. SOLUTION : The piezoelectric porcelain composition contains a main component, expressed by compositional formula : Pb1-x(A11/2A21/2)x(Mn1/3M2/3)aZrbTicO3, as a fundamental composition and has a perovskite type structure expressed by general formula [ABO3]. In the formula, A1 is at least one kind selected from Li, Na, K, Rb and Ce of monovalent alkali metals; A2 is at least one kind selected from Bi and rare earth elements; and M is at least one kind selected from Sb, Nb, and Ta.
