PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To sufficiently enhance denseness of an electrolyte even if baked at 1300°C or lower at which porosity of a fuel electrode and an air electrode used as a substrate is kept. SOLUTION : The manufacturing method of material for a solid oxide fuel cell contains a process coating the surface on one side of an air electrode substrate containing as the main component a B- site excess perovskite oxide represented by formula ; (Ln1-aAEa)1-dFe1-b-cCobMcO3-δ (in the formula, Ln is one kind or two kinds or more selected from the group of rare earth elements comprising La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu; AE is one kind or two kinds or more selected from alkali earth metal elements comprising Ca, Sr and Ba; M is one kind or two kinds or more elements selected from the group of alkali earth metal elements and transition metal elements comprising Mg, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Cu and Ni; 0
