PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electroluminescent element which achieves high luminance and high preservation by using an inorganic-based phosphor and/or a rare earth complex-based phosphor and to provide a color filter with high luminance by the application of the electroluminescent element. SOLUTION : The electroluminescent element comprises at least one sort of an electroluminescent material; and at least one sort of an inorganic-based phosphor which absorbs the light emitted from the electroluminescent material and emits a light in the different maximum emission wavelength from the maximum emission wavelength emitted from the electroluminescent material.
