PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a thermoelectric conversion material having a large dimensionless performance index ZT by maintaining a high Seebeck coefficient and low resistivity and fully reducing thermal conductivity, in a material with a half-Heusler compound as a main phase. SOLUTION : The thermoelectric conversion material is expressed by a composition formula (2) (Lnd(Tia2Zrb2Hfc2)1-d)xNiySn100-x-y and has an MgAgAs type crystal structure, where x and y satisfy the conditions of 30≤x≤35 and 30≤y≤35, Ln is at least one type selected from a group comprising Y and rare earth elements, and a2, b2, c2 and d satisfy the conditions of 0≤a2≤1, 0≤b2≤1, 0≤c2≤1, a2+b2+c2=1, and 0
