PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a polyester film excellent in heat resistance and flame retardance.
SOLUTION : The polyester film comprises 0.1-9 wt.% silicone-based compound containing at least either one of unit represented by R3SiO0.5, R2SiO1.0, R1SiO1.5 and SiO2.0 (wherein R1-3 are each an organic group) and satisfies formula (1) : 0.5≤(Ma/2+Mb)/P≤5.0 (wherein Ma is number of moles of alkali metal element contained in 1 ton polyester film; Mb is number of moles of alkaline earth metal element contained in 1 ton polyester film; P is number of moles of phosphorus element contained in 1 ton polyester film).
