PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a fluorescent lamp which prevents an emission luminance from deteriorating and color balance from decreasing while maintaining a predetermined initial emission luminance, and can realize a longer service life; a fluorescent lamp unit equipped with it; and a display device. SOLUTION : A fluorescent lamp 20 has a glass bulb 30 with which mercury is enclosed, and the inside of which is coated with multiple kinds of phosphor particles having different degrees of aging deterioration caused by the mercury from each other. A rare earth oxide for preventing the aging deterioration is adhered to a first phosphor particle in the lowest degree of the aging deterioration by a first predetermined volume, to phosphor particles excepting the first phosphor particle and a second phosphor particle in the highest degree of the aging deterioration by a range from the first predetermined volume to a second predetermined volume larger than the first predetermined volume, and to the second phosphor particle by the second predetermined volume. In addition, the fluorescent lamp unit is equipped with the fluorescent lamp, and the display device is equipped with the fluorescent lamp unit. COPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT
