PURPOSE : A highly corrosion resistant steel having excellent corrosion resistance without deterioration of mechanical properties of the same and weldability caused by the excessive addition of corrosion resistance improving elements is provided. CONSTITUTION : A highly corrosion resistant steel comprises 0.01 to 3.0 mass%% of Zn, 0.05 to 3.0 mass%% of Cu and 0.05 to 6.0 mass%% of Ni, and further comprises one or more of 0.0005 to 0.0050 mass%% of Ca, 0.0005 to 0.010 mass%% of Mg and 0.0005 to 0.010 mass%% of rare earth metal. The highly corrosion resistant steel comprises 0.02 to 0.20 mass%% of C, 0.1 to 2.5 mass%% of Mn, 0.03 to 1.0 mass%% of Si, 0.03 to 0.5 mass%% of Al, 0.01 to 0.1 mass%% of Ti, 0.1 mass%% or less of P, 0.005 mass%% or less of S, and 0.5 mass%% or less of Cr. The highly corrosion resistant steel comprises one or more of 0.005 to 0.10 mass%% of Nb, 0.01 to 0.20 mass%% of V, 0.005 to 0.10 mass%% of Zr, 0.1 to 1.0 mass%% of Mo, and 0.0003 to 0.0030 mass%% of B. © KIPO 2007
